Next meeting is on 11/19 at 6PM on zoom.

CPC’s 2024 Goals:

  • Revive the Joint Parent Advisory Council (JPAC) a collaboration between the CPC, SpEdPAC, and DELAC
  • Monitor and help ensure that each school’s SCC and SPCs are functioning and following district mandates.

Representatives from the BTU gave an update on the Inclusion Done Right program.  The program has had its challenges and has been taken advantage of by the district but part of the BTU contract negotiations are to make the program works better.  For example, the program calls for an inclusion classroom to have teachers with different degrees, and often schools will save money by placing a teacher with multiple degrees instead of multiple teachers, putting undue stress on individual teachers, and reducing the effectiveness of an inclusion classroom.
