Parkway Turkey Trot - Kid's Fun Run to Support Patrick Lyndon School PTA! November 23 2024 at 9am
Dear Business + Community Leaders,
On November 23rd at 9:00 am, the Patrick Lyndon School PTA will welcome runners to the athletic field at West Roxbury Education Complex for our Parkway Turkey Trot. Over 500 students + parents will come together in a day to celebrate our community, enjoy the outdoors and get moving together in a day of family fun. This pre-Thanksgiving Kids Fun Run benefits West Roxbury’s Patrick Lyndon Pilot School PTA providing important enrichment programs.
Our mission at the Patrick Lyndon School PTA is to welcome, empower, and engage families to become a key partner with the school supporting the success and well-being of all students. As a 501c(3) charitable organization, we fund many of the enrichment programs at our school that are not funded through the Boston Public School budget.
The Parkway Turkey Trot is our biggest fundraiser, helping the Patrick Lyndon School PTA put over $30,000 back into our school in 2023! Because of your sponsorships, we continue to fund programs that support our mission.
THE PTA FUNDS:
- Music program, instruments & equipment
- Educational field trips
- Outdoor Classroom & Mass Audubon Partnership
- Teacher grant money for supplies & special programs
- School wide programs (8th Grade Graduation & Celebration, Spelling Bee, Field Day, Walk to School days and other Wellness Endeavors, and more)

The in-kind donations we receive from the community contribute to the success of the Turkey Trot. Our raffle is an exciting part of the day, raising over $2,500 last year. In-kind donations will be recognized at the raffle sale.
